What personal data we collect and why we collect it

  • Contact e-mail

If you provide us  personal data (such as name, address, e-mail address, phone number, fax number etc.) by using the contact e-mail ( listed on our website, the webmasters will retain these information.  The personal data provided by users are available only for the webmasters. We do not forward or release personal information to third party. Data presentation is voluntary.

We give information about the managed data by request. The information can be requested via  e-mail (  The termination or modification of these personal data can also be requested via this e-mail.

  • Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data (username, e-mail address, website address (optional)) shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.   • Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

  • Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Its main goal is to help the webmasters optimazing marketing campaings and to give infromation about the website’s attendance by gathering data of where visitors came from (referrers),  how long they stayed on the website and  their geographical position.

Website visitors who do not want their data collected  can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, dc.js). This add-on instructs Google Analytics JavaScript running on the website to prohibit sending information to GA. The add-on is available here:

  • Quiz And Survey Master

Many of our quizzes, surveys, and forms are created using Quiz And Survey Master software. In order to distinguish individual users, IP addresses are collected and stored with the responses.

Each individual form may have fields for a variety of other personal information, such as name and email. This data is needed to identify and possibly communicate with the user. There may be other fields asking for personal information and this data may be for different purposes for each quiz, survey, or form. If any data is to be used for purposes other than grading or survey purposes, this will be disclosed on the form itself.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

The personal data provided by the visitors via e-mail are being retained in our e-mail account indefinitely.  You can request the termination of  these data any time by sending us a message via e-mail.

The responses and data attached to the responses in Quiz and Survey Master are stored indefinitely until an administrator of this site deletes the responses.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Quiz And Survey Master does not send any of your data to anywhere outside of this site by default.
